A sad day

Our daughter and grandchildren left Panama. These are some shots in and around the city. We had the best time with the kids.

A day of nutt'n

Our last day in Boquete started off misting, blowing and at times raining.  So we had a leisure day on the farm.  A little breakfast, a trip downtown for some last minute shopping and some good old downtime.

A tough day of hula-hoop

After a tough hula-hoop competition, the kids had to retire to the hot tub.

A day of relaxation

Today we went to a local river and had a great time in the water.
The temp. was a lot warmer here than back in Boquete.  This is part of carnival week so the music was blaring and there were lots of people.

Going to the birds

Today was a visit to Paradise Gardens which is just down the street from us.  It's a refuge for injured animals as well as a private collection of exotic bird.  A baby anteater, sloths, large cats and many different birds were displayed in a natural garden setting.

It's a bird, no it's a plane. . .

We spent the morning at the Boquete Tree Trek.  It's a canopy tour with 14 stations.  Annie, Jess, Effie & Fischer had a memorable time.  It was awesome.

A day with Chicho

Today everyone went to see Chicho (my foster dad).  Here he is all spiffed up to see us.

He really enjoyed see part of our family.

Chicho is giving us a tour of his property and crops.

This is the flower of the legume tree which he grows for food.

Snow White

I'm in Acton, Ma. finishing up some business.  Why am I here?
I landed in Boston in a snow storm and it hasn't been above 20 degrees since I've been here.  I'm off to Barrington R.I. tomorrow to visit with my daughter Jess and her family.  It's supposed to be in the 40's this weekend.  She and our 2 grandchildren are coming with me back to Panama for a little visit.
